This NonStop Academy technical webinar has been specifically designed to share best-practices for planning and deploying your updates.
This webinar begins with highlighting the key reference documentation to use in your NonStop Operating System upgrade planning process. You’ll learn the primary tasks that should be performed pre-upgrade, during the outage window, and post-upgrade.
This session will also help you Identify the resources needed, where to obtain them, and how to place the firmware on the NonStop System Console. Discover what firmware is monitored and upgradable via the OSM Service Connection.
We will also discuss the down system CLIM OS and firmware update actions. Finally, you’ll also learn how to plan for products containing firmware that are not monitored by OSM.

Mike is a NonStop Professional Services consultant with Hewlett Packard Enterprise Pointnext.
He is a NonStop Master Accredited System Engineer and has been supporting NonStop systems for 39 years. He has served in various customer facing roles in his time with the company including: Customer Engineer, Regional Tech Support, Direct Product Support, NonStop Systems certification coach and mentor and now serves as a Technology Consultant for the platform.
His specialty is NonStop hardware and has also taught NonStop X training for HPE NonStop Education and Training and is currently engaged in many projects involving Virtual NonStop.
